It started with a frustration.
Late 2025. A group of friends โ engineers, designers, psychology nerds, and one stubborn founder โ sat in a cramped apartment in Hyderabad, staring at their phones. Combined screen time: 47 hours a day. Content consumed: mostly forgettable.
The question wasn't "how do we stop using our phones?" โ that ship sailed years ago. The real question was: what if every minute of screen time actually made you sharper?
The experiment.
We started simple. A shared Google Doc with one insight per day โ psychology principles, strategy frameworks, decision-making heuristics. Each one had to pass the "coffee test": could you read it in the time it takes to brew a cup?
Within a week, the doc had 200 entries. Within a month, 40 friends were reading it daily. People started making better decisions at work. They referenced Dunning-Kruger in meetings. They spotted logical fallacies in news articles. They became, objectively, sharper thinkers.
That Google Doc became Cortx.
The product.
We obsessed over making learning feel like scrolling. Not boring textbook learning โ the kind where you go "wait, that's brilliant" every 30 seconds. We stole the best mechanics from apps people are addicted to:
TikTok's swipe-to-discover? That's our card feed. Duolingo's streaks? That's our daily goals. Spotify's personalisation? That's our Cognitive Radar โ a visual map of your brain's strengths across Logic, Strategy, EQ, Social Intelligence, and Crisis Management.
Then we added what social media never gives you: proof that you're actually growing. Your CDS Score goes up. Your Radar fills out. You earn Karma. You see yourself getting smarter โ not just feeling busy.
The mission.
We believe the next generation of leaders won't come from elite universities alone. They'll come from anyone who chooses to invest 3 minutes a day in their own cognitive growth.
Cortx is that 3-minute investment. Every card you swipe, every quiz you ace, every scenario you solve โ it compounds. Day after day, week after week, you become the kind of person who thinks differently. Who decides better. Who leads naturally.
